Thinking about painting the upper 20% of the light with ultra high heat black spray paint anybody tried it??
iam 6'3 cant see the dash at all when its dark sheesh ariens

On later models Ariens made the top of the lens darker. While Ariens was figuring that out they gave complaining owners a piece that fitted on top of the lens to eliminate glare for taller owners. Just give Ariens a call and ask for the shielding piece.

Thanks mr town i just called was told my blowwer already had it
I asked for another they argeed
Dont see why i cant paint 1 inch down with high heat paint
Impeller kit is on blew some wetish snow bucket high 45 feet thats the baseline :)

Did you buy the impeller kit? If so, which one and where can I order it? Thanks!

At least as a stop-gap solution, I'd just put some tape (or thin cardboard, like from a cereal box) over the top of the light. I like the blue painter's tape for non-permanent stuff, as it typically peels off cleanly, with no residue left behind. Admittedly, I don't typically use it areas well it will get wet.

It is unfortunate that the light "overspray" is a problem, though.
