So I decided to tear apart the track assembly on my Craftsman II to add grease fittings to each of the wheels and axle for ease of maintenance. What are your opinions on adding grease fittings where there were no grease fittings? I'm considering putting some on the bushings for the auger rake axle as well.

A long time ago, I made it to an old Noma and now to my Ariens. I never had to change bushings or plastic sleeves since i've done this mod.

Make sure you don't create a situation where grease injection ejects something that needs to stay in place.

Many bearings are inherently lubed for life but if nothing else grease injection can displace water and crud.
