Purchased new in fall of 2018 from Home Depot. Used maybe 1 hour since then.

Took it out this morning, everything ran perfectly for about 10 minutes. I was running solely in forward. I put it into reverse and the drive wouldn't engage. Put it back into forward but had the same problem. I dragged it back into the garage and let it sit for 15 minutes. Turned it on again and still couldn't get the drive to engage. The auger and everything else is working properly.

The cable adjustment seems fine (I played with it to be certain) and given the low hours and newness of the machine, I can't imagine anything has worn out.

Any ideas on what this could be?

Check the Drive Belt. If that's OK, it's a Friction Wheel issue of some kind.
