Hey all,
I'm new to the forum and already have a problem. I have a Ariens snowblower, mod. 924107. It's a 13 h.p., 36". The drive plate (not the friction disc) is stuck. Will not move, causing the friction disc to be engaged all the time. I separated the two halves and removed everything to expose the spindle housing.

I'm stuck. Can't figure how to get the spindle housing and drive plate out of the machine. I suspect the problem is inside the spindle housing.

With the Machine in the Service Position( Handlebars Pointing Up ) and the Bottom Cover Removed, Spray PB Blaster on the Shaft Behind the Drive Plate. With a Large Screwdriver, Pry the Drive Plate Towards the Front of the Machime. It Will Move. Then Spray Again, and Pry the Other Way. Rinse and Repeat until it Frees up. Common Problem Easily Fixed.
