Well, I took apart and cleaned the carb on my Ariens ST828.

I never got much of a chance to run it as I did the refresh in the fall.

I pulled it out of the shed after sediment in the gas tank of my craftsman shut it down. I fired it up and it seemed to rev high...and under load it would bog BADLY.

I made a tweak on the governor....and now the revs seems in spec, but it still seems to bog.

It runs smooth, but for one reason or another it makes the muffler slightly glow....indicating a possible lean condition.

I am 100% sure I cleaned the jets of the carb out, used wire and solvent.

There are zero intake leaks...checked with starting fluid.

Time for a carb? Or is there something I am missing?
