Ok, I have an Ariens 8524 snowblower with the Tecumseh Snow King engine on it in my shop. It WILL NOT start when cold. It has powerful spark when an inline spark tester is used. It had compression that was kind of low due to the intake valve needing to be ground slightly, which I did. If I squirt carb cleaner into the carb, it will start and run all day. It has 90PSI compression. I tried replacing the carb with a new one I had and no change. When you prime it fuel eventually comes out the carb throat, so I know that is working correctly. Once it's warm, it will start first pull. I'm stumped. Any ideas?

Bad primer line / bulb or something with the choke? Suppose changing the carb would fix the choke though.
