Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone would know a good replacement for the belt finger on my snowblower (rod that keeps auger belt from jumping out). I have a Yardman 4x4 10.5hp with a 30" cut.

I also have another issue where my right side wheels keep wanting to flip upside down. I'd like an idea of what's causing the issue and how to fix it if anyone might know.

For the belt finger just get some steel rod or something and bend to fit. If your belt isn't coming off the pulley I wouldn't even worry about it. Worst case is maybe look for a larger pulley for a 5/8 belt and then the belt will sit low enough that the pulley can hold it on.

For the flipping thing I have never had one of the 4 wheel models. Do they work similar to the track models and have a height adjuster or do they just float there? Maybe something is broken or rusted up.

the belt finger in my model require a thread to screw into the engine block. There was a piece of threaded rod until it fell out. I'd rather not replace it with more threaded since i think this was chewing up my belts.

The 4x4 looks similar to a tracked model but i don't think there is a height a adjustment. there are 2 wheels attached to an assembly which is fed by a single axle.

You could always grind the back side of the rod smooth. Loop it around a bolt to hold it to the engine.
