I'm looking into purchasing a used Ariens tractor mower and I'm thinking "what if I put a snow blower attachment on the front of it"

Where's a good place to look for the blower attachments?
How hard would it be to hook one up?
What kind of prices do you think I could expect to pay for one?
Do they usually have their own engine to drive the augers or are they connected to and driven by the tractor?

Most are driven off the tractor engine.

Check the lawn & garden section of your local craigslist.
If you buy both together you will probably get a better deal, plus they are more likely to be compatible.

I don't have one and have never used one so can't really offer much else.

Hardest part is finding the correct snowblower model number to match the particular tractor model...need your tractor owners manual to find the right snowblower model..(probably a few different blower models will fit the tractor)..then you can start looking..

Post the model and serial number of the tractor, and we can help you look up the owners manual and see what snowblower attachments will fit..

Depending on which model the tractor is it could be hard finding the right model snowblower. I know around here there is only a few of the attachments floating around, and a lot more of the tractors, makes for a high demand item thats hard to get.

I ended up with an Ariens YT12 that came with a 36" snowblower attachment.
