Jack, just out of curiosity , about how much will this go for?

Our Honda dealer just started selling Ariens a couple years ago also. They do seem sturdier than than the Honda but I have no experience with them.

I check the market on similar machines before pricing it.

So how do you determine if a used motor is good enough, especially for reselling a unit? Do you do compression or leak-down tests? Or is it more judgement based on your knowledge/experience. Just curious. Thanks

I just start and listen to a motor when I pull it and then drain the tank and carb for storage. If it runs poorly, I either fix whats wrong, or use it for parts only.

My Shelf Engines are Usually Strong Take-Offs from Machines I don't want to fix for Whatever Reason. I'm not saving any more of the 7hp and lower L-heads.
