The instructions do not mention an electrical cord dangling from the operator's handle. It is about 2 ft long and has a plastic connector on the end. I cannot find a spot where it would connect.

It may have something to do with the lights. I'm not sure how they work either. I don't see a switch.

The instruction manual is of no help.

What's the model number? 1696610?

You have electric start on that, don't you? Does the cord have a standard female 120v. receptacle on the end? Does the starter run on 120v or is there an onboard battery? if the latter, might that wire connect to a charger that you plug into an electrical socket and then plug the machine into the charger when its not in use?
