Hello, my question to you all is, I have a 1550 with a continuous rpm carburetor (no throttle) is there a replacement carburetor with a throttle and adjustments??
Thanks Troy D.

welcome to the SBF
you will need to add more parts than just a new carb, throttle assembly governor linkage new covers
do you mind telling us what the motor came off of ?

I would think someone on here has done it or for a mower but I couldn't find anything.
Maybe someone else will have better search luck.

I is a Briggs and stratton 1550 purchased it not on anything. I just don't like it running at full Rpm from start till stop can't be good for the engine starting in the cold.

I know the feeling. I always start them with full throttle and choke but then reach down and back off the throttle to let it idle for a while and warm up.
I haven't got a clue if it helps with lifespan, wear and tear on components but I don't like it racing at full throttle when starting cold.
If you end up adding a throttle control by all means do a show and tell with photos.
