Is this something I can buy the equipment and learn to do it myself?
I know nothing about powder coating other than it's a colored powder put on with an electrical attraction? Then it has to cure? If in an oven then that shuts that idea.
ya you need an oven. unless you got dedicated space for it and using it regularly it definitely makes it difficult justify having it. you almost have to do powder coating regularly on the side to to make it work having it take up space.
Don't forget that every good powder coat job starts with metal prep and that almost always means a sandblasting set up and a very capable air compressor. I would probably just farm it out to a pro.
