Chute lock torsion spring

780 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  McGillicuddy
I'm trying to get my chute lock adjusted correctly. Currently it not fully seating the lock mechanism against the teeth. Should the torsion spring end go in the hole like in this pic or just resting against the wall as I saw a user do in a video I found?

The spring end that the arrow points to should be positioned higher up on the metal frame to apply tension to the arm to engage the gear teeth. Here is a pic of the stock location.

You will need to loosen the attaching nut a little to get room to lift the spring end up into place.
