There's two augurs, only one works as it should. The other spins freely and the shear pin on that one appears to have...sheared? What I mean is that it is broken flush on both the top and the bottom. I could try to punch it out, but it doesn't seem as if it broke "inside" (freeing the augur from the drive shaft, to prevent engine damage). It's still in there, the protruding top and bottom appear to have just sheared off flush.

The augur just turns freely. Whats going on? What's the fix? Thanks in advance for any guidance - my first day in this forum!

If I am understanding you correctly, the shear pin has sheared off letting the auger turn freely?
If so, the shear pin has done it's job, and has sheared as required.
Knock it out, and install a new shear pin, then your good to go.

Not sure why it appears twice, but I removed the augur and the pin popped out easily with a good thwack. THANK YOU!

Usually you do not have to remove the auger ... Just get a smaller diameter punch and punch it out with a small ball peen hammer. The hole would be aligned with the opposite side

I change shear bolts right in place.
