I have a Cub Cadet Snow Blower. It dies when it goes into thick snow. This is new this year. Used to plow though it like a charm! I thought maybe a bearing was out on my auger or something mechanical. I took it all apart, bearings were all good. Everything turns easy and looks just fine. So now it must be something engine related?? Other than dropping it off at a repair shop, any suggestions?

old fuel, carb and/or governor out of adjustment, throttle not at wot setting, weak plug, low oil...too name a few if nothing is binding as in belts, impeller, auger, pulleys, drive mechanism.
a cheap digital tach would tell you what rpms its set to at wot/full throttle

Welcome to the forum! We really need more info on how exactly it behaves, to better understand the problem.

- Is it different when the engine is cold, vs hot and it's been blowing for a while?
- Does it get better or worse if you add partial choke?
- Any smoke from the engine?

What kind of engine? What model blower is this, and how old?
