Hey guys,
Im looking to purchase a 2010 model Honda HS928 here in Canada. It’s in near new condition. From the pics I’ve noticed it doesn’t have a light. I’m aware that the light was an optional install. My question is, did they all come with a stator/power wire for the light or was that part of the light option? Just curious is all. Thanks!

It depends on the exact model and year... Most of them from that era have at least a single lighting coil and some had two. The GX has the following 12V Lamp Coil Kits available...
12v–15w (31510-ZE1-003), 12v–25w (31510-ZE1-811). Two coils can be installed in parallel to provide 12V-30W or 12V-50W, if no charging coils are applied. Use parallel connector (No. 32105-ZE1-000) to connect two coils in parallel. A single coil (12v-25w) can be used in combination with a 3A charge coil as required. Hopefully yours has the 31510-ZE2-P31 which is the DOUBLE COIL ASSY., LAMP (12V/50W).

Modern HSS blowers have a multi-winding coil, which has two or three outputs.

Your Canada blowers started getting HSS features long before the USA-built ones, so generalizing for that era is tough.

Thanks for the response. The blower is a couple hours from where I live...so I’ll have to wait until then to find out I guess. Here’s a pic..maybe it will help?

Your self propelled 624 models on up had a "Lighting Coil" built into the engine for a light. That is what the little Black wire that stuck out of the blower housing was for.
The lighting kit on the older models was an option, but they had the coil to power it.
