I'm on here every night, sitting on the couch watching tv, while my wife is next to me playing Scrabble word games on her iPad watching tv with me.

Tonight she said to me again that this site is a waste of my time because how much can people talk about snowblowers.

I told her I do it for relaxation and to help others, plus it's a diversion from the news sites I read every day.

Anyone get heat also?

I do it for the same reasons you do. No body bothers me but me.

Since small engine repair makes me money, my wife understands that time spent on this forum and others is an investment.

When I take a repair manual or service manual to bed for reading, then she just shakes her head.

As far as snowblowers and the forum goes, my wife knows that only 1 car will fit in the garage now, due to the 'fleet' of snowblowers and the various re-builds.

I have only a one car garage. My wife used to ask when we would be able to get the car in the garage. I finally had to tell her - "We don't have a garage. We have a workshop with a big door on one end. And beside that, the table saw isn't the weather resistant brand."

short answer: my wife welcomes the time away from her ......

after 30 plus years and being retired, there is only so much time a couple can spend together before getting on each others nerves. when that happens she yells "GO OUT TO THE GARAGE AND PLAY WITH YOUR TOYS!!!"

How TRUE! we used to be able to put both cars in garage but now only one. the subie snow car stays outside and I used to laugh at people that had too much junk in their garage and spent 30 minutes cleaning off the snow and warming it up before they could go. cleaning scraping , iced up doors, iced up lock, etc etc.

now i am one of those clowns.

My GF is happy I spend my time here and working on things around the house rather than being out and getting into trouble. Lesser of two evils I guess.

I got a bit of heat from her when I spent 3 vacation days in July doing my transmission converson project on a Craftsman. Well, her it's her cats... and they won't clear the driveway!

I'm not going to ask permission of you to use that, "We don't have a garage. We have a workshop with a big door on one end." That's a great quote! It's been so long but right from day one we didn't use it as a garage. We moved in here, boxes were put in the garage as we unpacked, then they didn't leave. When I closed my landscaping business, the 2 car garage I rented as a shop came here. Been down hill ever since as the crazy idea of buying mowers and blowers for cheap, repair and sell, and make some money on them didn't develop as I expected. Lol.

Last nor-Easter while I was out plowing, my wife made a few passes with the big Honda. She approached me the night before asking me to show her how to use it just Incase.

I got a great text message while I was out.

“I cleared a path for you to get into the driveway and garage. This thing is awesome. Such an adrenaline rush lol.”

She gets it.

I get asked; "Are you reading and watching snowblower porn again????"

My garage is filled with 2 snow blowers and a space heater and it needs cleaning out. I should have had the first two snow pups repaired and kept the first two snow pups hung on the wall.

The JDLA115 is outside with the seat up waiting to be stolen and it needs $200.00+ worth of parts for the snow blower. I dont bother to keep the JD in the garage as the exhaust fumes would get in the house

She actually says that these types of forums are a bad influence on me ,as I get ideas. then act on em . I belong to this forum and a scuba forum. both have a lot of insight . I think their great for bouncing ideas off people.
