There have been a lot of discussions on the love/hate of the new gas cans on this site.

I came across this article on the iconic jerrycan how it was developed and it's important role in WW2. I found it quite interesting, but I am also a WW2 history buff.

Thanks for the history! I have 2 red ones for gas with mounting brackets from the long-gone Toyota FJ40 Landcruiser, a green one for water, and a yellow one for kerosene/diesel. Still have the jack, too.

Thanks for the history lesson. Count me in the "hate" column as it pertains to the new cans. However, in true entrepreneurial fashion, there are hundreds of products and videos available to work around this problem.
