Hi everyone, seems like Hyundai is getting into the snowblower game. Couldn’t find any reviews or feedback online so I’m interested in what the community thinks of this model. 2k Canadian for a 375cc tracked snowblower seems like a great deal, however I wonder what the trade offs are…

I don't see any here in the states .... on sale for 2000.00 , normally 2500.00.

Gata tell you, my snowblowers are free, and I restore them. .... Looks like I'll never own one of them in my lifetime ... :)

Looks a lot like these machines sold in Sweden which are supposed to be the same but under two different brands; AL-KO and Biltema. However the Biltema (blue one) version is two thirds of
the price of the AL-KO!

Okay, so lots of negativity… not sure if I should stay the course or cancel my order. I think one sign of a good product is the documentation and the owners manual is well written. I like this note from the designer they included.

A note from our designer:
When I was a child in Kingston Ontario my family lived beside a retired fellow named Basil. I remember one day Basil got down on one knee to clean out his clogged snowblower, reaching deep into the machine to remove the buildup of hard snow and ice. Once the blockage was clear the augers quickly sprang back to life, he had forgotten to shut off the engine. For the rest of his life Basil only had two fingers on that hand because he’d left his snowblower running. Don’t be like my kind neighbour Basil.

Also, it appears to have a loncin engine (LC185FDS), doesn’t toro also use loncin? I know minds are made up on these but it’s hard to find specific feedback on what I can expect to fail vs. a toro or ariens unit.

Hi, I it wasn’t my meaning to be negative as I don’t know much about these machines. However my brother has the Biltema version since a couple of years ago. He’s quite content with it overall. Strong engine and gets the job done. He finds it a bit hard to maneuver though as it has no kind of steering aid. And the first winter both the cables to the handle bars broke off.

I had an online chat with their support people (Midland Power Support). The tracked snowblower is a made in China snowblower and available exclusively at Princess Auto. That being said, they have replacement parts and an authorized service network across Canada. That is the main thing with any piece of outdoor power equipment. Getting parts and service. There is one such place a couple towns over from where I live.

Given the Biltema brand reference that HasseBF mentioned and his brother having one and is happy with, I think this snowblower is an excellent value.
