Hi guys. New to the form a first post. Im starting my 16 hp k series kohler swap on my jd 832. The 8 horse tecumseh just wont stay running an im not going to rebuild it. Well i have this 16 horse Kohler laying around an thought it be a good swap engine. I know its electric start and has a fuel pump fuel tank placement wont be a huge deal. Battery tray solnoid spot ill make same with the wiring harness. My question is what should i beef up on the blower? I know the handle bars are weak. An i heard the friction disk can be an issue. Im going to have to make a new engine mount as the kohler has a shallow oil sump. Was going to use square stock or angle iron. Pulleys is my big question size an where to get them. The Kohler has a pto shaft of 1.124 when i measured it with my micrometer. So that to me would be inch an quart (1 1/4) pto shaft. And im not sure of the pulley ratio i need to change to for the 16 horse. Any helpful information and advice would be appreciated.
