Clearing up the remains of yesterdays 20" storm I was clearing a path when my 2016 28" deluxe sho made a loud noise like a belt or chain breaking, died immediately and won't start up again. There is gas in it. Didn't hit anything, shear pins are intact. The pull starter still pulls and engine sounds like it is trying to start, but it won't catch. I haven't torn into it yet, it's dark and cold outside and the driveway is clear so it can wait until tomorrow, just wondering if anyone has any idea where I should start.

Thanks,
Mike

Oil is full. It was changed before this season. Machine has only been used about 4 hours total, 2 last year and 2 after the oil change

Pulling the plug and covering the hole with a finger as you pull the starter will tell you if the piston is moving.
