Here's the equipment I will be using this winter to move some snow
The TB Storm 2410 was originally repowered with a Predator 212cc. But I decided to move it over to my Toro 521. Will be repowering the Storm 2410 shortly with another Predator 212cc
I did some research. The Predator & Stormforce specs are identical. Both are rated as 6.5 hp engines. The predator is sometimes rated as 7 hp. I don't see it as getting a smaller engine. Most companies engines are rated as 208cc and 6.5 hp.
Here's the fleet now setup with their Predator engines. I put the HF Predator model #60363 engine on my 2008 TB Storm 2410. Can't wait to use both machines and get those engines running
Real nice job adapting the Predator to the TB 2410 and Toro 521, looks factory. Are those Armor Skids on the TB? I purchased the much maligned Troy-Bilt 2410 this October. I have an ruddy, hilly stone driveway. I ordered the Armor Skids and 2 days after they arrived we had the Thanksgiving snow, 7" of wet packed snow. The 2410 got it's "baptism by fire" and worked well. With care the machine should last for my needs.
The blowers look great. What happened to the tecumseh engine in the TB? I have an 2004 storm 1030 still going strong.
