Greetings

I am unfamiliar with the Noma brand of snowblowers. Are they a decent machine. I found the following one on a local online classified ad site.

The seller states that the 389cc engine is made by loncin.

Is this a good deal, or something I should pass on?

Cheers

That engine runs $400-480 on eBay. Mounted on a plain old 24” Murray chassis. Nice engine for Repower but not more than $350 if the rest is VG.

im kinda echoing the others.. at that price.. its a pass.. but if the seller is willing to come down..Guzzijohn is in the ballpark... with the stock engine.. its a maybe 200-300$ machine.. 200 being end of season and 300 being before the season.. id offer 300 right now and see what the seller says,.. stress the point that if he doesnt sell to you.. he may be holding onto it till next season and then there may be more alluring machines on the market for buyers to purchase..dont go over 400$ as you wont really have any snow to test it out before next year.. then you could be rushing to fix issues that may or may not be there

i wouldn't even touch it for $200. they are not that great of a machine. it may function at moving snow but if your willing to spend that much money you can find much better. i would personally avoid any older Murray built machines(pretty much any with the rectangle impeller output). they seem pretty poorly built and most are at the age that they will likely start having major issues. didn't work on too many this winter but the 1 i remember had major drive train issues that were not worth repairing. i could tell by looking at the insides that stuff was bent and to fix it properly would require a ton of work

Thanks for the input everyone. I will pass on this snowblower.

It will be a matter of patience looking for a quality used one for a good price. At least now it will be a buyers market until the fall rolls around.

Cheers
