i do wish he used 50/50 ATF/acetone in here instead of brake fluid though

i have watched so many videos on this.

50/50 atf/acetone wins out if you have the time. also about the cheapest . I think liquid wrench did surprising well also .

only issue with penetrating fluid tests is they are always done downward where gravity is a major factor.......I would like to see the same test done horizontally

it really doesn't surprise me. i use it all the time since it is cheap and seems to work pretty good. plus someone did some testing and it came in 3rd place

You all would be surprised with motor oil. 0w-20 will creep into rust and not run off or evaporate.

PB blaster or any of those type are overated products.

Try some 0w-20 in a old hand spray bottle or oil squirt gun.

thanks for this. i swore by pb blaster because it works so well. then i learned here about atf/acetone and started using that and it works just as well for a lot cheaper.

I'll try 0w-20.

i have an auger right now that i have tried EVERYTHING on to free up from a auger tranny shaft with no luck. every penetrating oil I have, soaking for days, heat , and the 2X4 trick recommended by YSHSfan here that works everytime except now.

ya, i'll try Ow-20
