I’m rebuilding a standard deluxe, would LOVE to get a engine like that and turn it into a SHO, hmmm could happen lol and the SHO parts are available too for faster pulleys hehe

Broke down and manned up and bought a 24 inch platinum SHO. First look it’s built like a tank and all I need is some snow.
Very nice looking machine, Kenneth Richard. You do realize now that you won't see a snowflake until next year!:devil:

Is there something special about the engines on the SHO models, other than the fact that they are larger than the regular Deluxe model?

I think the impeller speed is faster this using that extra power, If it was just more power it wouldn’t be any higher output over the standard machine, So faster impeller and more snow through the machine.

It could be the same impeller RPMs, and possibly have a larger impeller diameter, which would push more snow out the chute. I am just guessing... This would also give it faster tip speed, and farther throwing distance.
