Two Questions from a newbie.
1. What are those two pieces of flat stock that stick up from the auger housing on some of the machines?

2. Will I cause damage to my machine if I help my neighbor with his gravel driveway?

i use a snowblower on a gravel driveway

you can use a snowblower on a gravel driveway if;

1-- the driveway is in very good shape and very flat. (no ruts, bumps, potholes etc.)

2-- the skids on your blower are adjusted to keep the snowblower about an inch and a half to two inches off the ground.

if its not your driveway and you dont know every inch of it you shouldnt do it.

i wouldnt and i am used to using one a gravel driveway
