My father had one of these around 1950. It had an angled cylinder (like Clinton e series 2 stroke) continental engine whose recoil had cable instead of typical pull cord. It had solid rubber tractor tread tires. The auger and wheels were chain driven with dog clutch engagement. I believe it was mostly dark green. I've yet to find a picture of one although there are photos of the Reo reel type mower with the same color scheme. The only blower of that vintage shown on the Gilson site was differently colored and completely enclosed by sheet metal. Besides the Reo mowers the only engines of that type I've seen were on military surplus kerosene heater/blowers for warming piston aircraft engines in cold weather. Anyone else ever seen one? I have a 1960 REO (in non-working condition), it has the enclosed engine like on the Gilson's page though....., it is mostly blue with a few areas that have a lighter color....
