I have a couple self taping sheet metal screws on my blower that will not tighten. Is there a way to fix that? Larger screws perhaps?

Take the screws out, drill to a larger bore, and the tap to the appropriate size thread

Screwy Screws

If you can get to the inside you could use a nut and bolt as well.
Thanks but I think that would difficult in this case since these screws hold the metal access panel on for the axles, friction wheel, etc. I'm thinking the speed nuts will be perfect. I'll be finding out tomorrow.

Yea, use bigger screws or drill new holes. If you had a welder you could weld some nuts on the back too.
