I don't have a Tecumseh dial indicator to check tdc on an older tec engine that kicks back. Front what I read they should fire at 80 on a dial indicator. So this means the top of the piston on the compression stroke should be .20 (1/5 ") or ( a little less than 13/64" ) below tdc when it fires. (13/64" is .2038") Im assuming a Tecumseh indicator is 0 - 1". Any thoughts on this?

Don't care, it can't be changed. The key in the flywheel controls this. It becomes only important if a complete disassembly is necessary and then there are marks to align.
