Hello,
I have a Tecumseh engine C950-5121-0 on a Craftsman 11/30 snowblower and when I was changing the belts I noticed that when turning the crank by hand I get this clunking sound. The engine runs well but is that the connecting rod or something else. Click on the link and watch my video.

I agree that probably isn't engine noise. It looks like the traction drive belt is still on. and I think the noise is just in the drive mechanisms (pulleys, levers, springs, etc). You can always remove the belt and repeat the test.
