Heard a strange engine next door, investigation required. Turns out Mr. H. has got himself a new toy. New model this year Wado SXC 1070.

10hp Robin gas engine/28" path, electric auger lift, full electric chute. Looks and sounds really nice, can't wait to see it move some snow.

Mr. H. : :blowerhug: :D

Here's the '16~'17 Wado snow machine full lineup:

Initial feel-up says it's built like a tank... one thing I noticed is that his differs from the picture in that the battery is fully enclosed in a steel box, black. Dunno if that is an option or if the production models improved on the advance pics for marketing. Thinking the latter, have to ask.

One thing that surprised me is that the headlamp uses a regular 1156 bulb rather than LED... figured they would be there by now, although given time from drawing table to sales floor I suppose the recent advances might have been a bit untried at development to put all the way out there for an old-school company like Wado. Not that it's bad or anything... it was nice and warm to the touch after just a few minutes so maybe they just wanted to make sure it stays melted clean.

We shall see.

Well we got the first blowable snow of the season, and as much as I wanted to fire up the Yanmarrrrr I 'gifted' the Whole Thing to Mr. H. so he could play/run-in the new engine a bit. Three to five inches of fairly heavy/partial melt, seems to be doing real good, tossing it out nice and I haven't heard him stop for any clogs.

He seems rather pleased... :yahoo:
