I am considering purchasing a Toro Power Clear 180 to supplement my 2 stage and am debating whether or not to purchase the model with electric start or stick with the recoil. The difference is $50, since it's a small 87cc engine I'm sure it wouldn't be difficult to start. Here's the underlying factor, I would like my wife to be able to use it so that's why I'm considering the electric start - this would also justify the purchase :D.

Any thoughts?

Just two thoughts:
- No matter how good and reliable an engine starts, it will always make you smile when the engine comes to life at the push of a button.
- Whenever one system fails, there's always the other one as a backup.

Es a no-brainer!

A couple thoughts.....you can't buy an aftermarket electric start for $50.00. If es inspires your wife to run a snowblower it's worth double that! My wife is very happy with a toro electric single stage.....they will surprise you.

Last thought--resale. The es models go fast on craig's list.
