Hello, I use a power max at my work, its a commercial property, this unit is about, 5 hears old now, it has a crazy loud vibration/squeal sound coming from the wheel drive system, especially when in 5 or 6th speed,
Its a really loud noise that you can easily hear over the whole blower.
You know the sound of a bad blower motor in your car when its cold? Its like that, its definately a shaft thats getting into a vibration because of worn bushing or lack of lube. Its intermittent but happens more now it seems. Almost like a harmonic vibration, or a dry slip/stick condition thats creating it, hard to nail down. I'm thinking its one of the fster moving varable speed parts like the drive or driven wheel of the variable speed system.
Anyone ran into this?

thanks,

Stand it on the auger housing and remove the bottom cover and shake and turn things. Look for a burned bearing but I don't think there are any bearings there. Maybe an impeller bearing? Idler bearing?
