i don't see the point of your comment? in working conditions that machine would likely be a $4-500 round here so there is the possibility to make money if you have the parts needed to fix the machine especially since he got it for free. at least he is not one of them people selling a machine with blown engine. a lot more of a gamble paying for a machine to flip but really hard to loose on a free machine.

I just got done putting a smaller speed pulley and belt on the Troy Bilt, then adjusted the speed lever so it's a lot slower now in 1st and 2nd. Ready to go to work but all we're going to get tonight is 1" of nothing. Oh well, I'll push it all in a pile and plow it out on Friday.

UPDATE: plowed a little snow yesterday and works much better at the new slower speed.
