How good is the Deluxe 28 in mostly wet snow ? And did it had the auto-turn in 2015 ?

Ariens with big engine would be my choice. I personally take manual chute over Toro's control.

And I have Honda so no ownership biasing here

Personally, I think that the Toro quick chute is the easiest set up. If adjusted correctly, it is very intuitive to operate with only one hand.

Isn't this a bit all like comparing apples to oranges? The machine needed to compare oranges to the orange is the
COMMERCIAL POWER MAX HD1428 OHXE 38843....It has 420 cc's, ditches the Auto-turn 300, and replaces it with power steering.

I would say that the biases come from satisfied customers with said brand, chances are that they have not ran two like models of the same vintage. I've only run the two machines that I own, older 24" MTD Ranch King with a 5hp Tecumseh and my 2016 Ariens Deluxe 28 SHO and yes, the Ariens was like a gift from heaven.

Now, I do have about 40 years of shovel experiance!
