sometimes things get lost in translation.
A few of my favorites...
  • GM had trouble selling Nova cars in Central America; "No va" means "it doesn't go" in Spanish.
  • KFC: "Finger-lickin' good" translated to "Eat your fingers off" in China.
  • Coors: "Turn it Loose" translated to "Suffer from diarrhea" in Spain.
  • Electrolux: The Swedes didn't consider American slang when they exported the tagline, "Nothing sucks like an Electrolux."
  • Ford: "Every car has a high-quality body" translated to "Every car has a high-quality corpse" in Belgium.
  • Braniff Airlines: "Fly in Leather" translated to "Fly naked" in Mexico.
  • American Motors: A car named "The Matador" translated to "The Killer" in Puerto Rico.

  • Haha

I'm seeing used prices up here (Toronto Canada) up this year and it's not even October.
i am not really seeing snowblowers sell tho. when i check i still usually see the same old stuff listed and the only time you see something sell is if it is a nice machine for about $50-100. anything $150+ is still sitting at this point.

Yes those great deals get snatched up quickly. I saw an 11hp 32 Inch Ariens today for 349 CDN. Some older yardworks 10hp 30 inch (for $100) but too far away.
