Which oil drain hose for Troy Bilt Storm 2420

The Storm 2420's oil drain plug is positioned such that draining oil will always cause it to dribble down the body of the blower's transmission area.

I've seen permanently installed drain hoses in pictures here in the forum, and would like to install one to make the oil change process a little less messy. What size threads, and which product are people using. Links?

The Troy Bilt Storm 2420 has the MTD 208cc OHV engine.

If anyone happens to have a link to the correct product I'd love to know so I can be sure I'm getting the right thing.

Not sure what engine you have on your unit but this is what I did on my Troybilt 1130 Storm with Techumseh. It’s super easy to direct the oil into a pop bottle after removing the cap. I didn’t want to use a valve because I was concerned about the extra weight on the 1/4 nipple. The paper tag with the serial and model #s are actually illegible because of the oil being wiped off from dribbling out of the nipple before modification.

You have the Power More MTD engine. The Tecumseh uses a NPT thread. I am pretty sure the thread on all Chinese Honda clones if that frame size is a M10-1.25 machine screw thread. I am assuming that from this drain plug for a 208cc LCT. I may be wrong, so feel free to do some more searching. Look up the drain plug based on your engine model number.

Or you could buy one of these flexible sheet funnels. They work good on lawn tractors too.
