I think winter storms are pretty much played out in my area. I have mixed feelings about that. :) Anyway just wanted to tell you guys thanks for all the assistance and I'll be talking with you all again next season. I enjoyed all our talks. Have a great summer.

Hey Doc
You may not be done yet! It's been the coldest winter in 20 years in SE Mass. I'd say another one or two storms at least left. MH

nah, I think we're done..
It's the middle of March, two weeks until April,
and the 10-day forecast shows mostly daytime temps above freezing.

yes, we do get snow in April, its not rare..but if we do, it's almost always a light coating of wet slushy snow that melts away within 24 hours..dont need to break out the snowblower..I predict we are done (in the North-East) with "snow-blowable" snow for the season..but I will make of point of posting in this thread if I am wrong! ;)

Yeah, I'm starting to wonder if the fun is over :( We were supposed to have a nice storm last week but we ended up with mostly rain and a bit of icing.

We've had some serious melting over the past few days. Snow depth in my backyard has gone from about 14" to 4" since a week ago. I've left the big machine in the garage with hopes that we might see some more action, but I'm growing skeptical along with the rest of you

I've got to drain the oil in both machines and get some fresh 5W30 in there. I think the tanks are completely topped off.

I'm putting mine away mid to late week. If it snows I'll get the shovel out. I ought to know better.. it's happened before, but I'll chance it- I'm really ready for summer. By the way I'm in South central WI (Fitchburg)

Well, I think I will put the blowers to bed and prep the mowers this next week. Plus, I need to change the oil on the truck, so if I am already out there, I might as well do the rest.

I took a chance two weeks ago and ran the blower until it ran out of gas. Unless we get six or more inches I will shovel what falls off of the sidewalk, and let what is on the driveway melt. I will do an oil change, general inspection, spark plug replacement, and lubrication and put it away until next fall/winter.
The mowers are ready to go except for cleaning and lubricating the rear wheels on one of them which may have some excess dirt in it, and could use some new grease. Should be another month or more before the first mowing.
See you all next winter, unless I find something wrong when I do my inspection.

have a fun and safe summer Surge. that goes to all the rest too. It was interesting hearing all the different snow blower related things this past winter and as always a learning experience. Geno

Crazy

The weather has been crazy this winter. Last weekend was pushing 60 and it was below freezing with frozen rain this morning and more the rest of the week.

I need to get under the Vette and replace some U-joints on the half shafts before I can truly get it out for the season and I don't have a heated garage. This sucks!
