Hi. I have a st1032. Model 924052. I'm looking for the wing nut that goes to adjusting the angle on the Shute I have a 3/8 16 Carriage bolt that I believe goes there. I could be wrong it fits in the square perfectly was wondering if somebody had something they were going to throw away and that they can throw in the mail to me.

It does use a carriage bolt. You can get a wing not at any good hardware store. What I like to use are wing nuts with handles, or arms on it. They are most common with commercial lawn mowers.

I would guess any dollar store or hard wear store has them. Our dollar store does sell them.

No special wing nut is needed, you may end up taking the carriage bolt with you to a well stocked hardware store and buying a wing nut with the nylock insert in it. I would buy a couple extra to have on hand and tape duct the bag to the wall in the garage/shed so you know where they are.
You will need a flat washer for as well and a fender washer will probably be your best choice for that as it has a large surface area to allow you to tighten the wing nut.

Short of that having a coarse thread hex nut with the nylock insert with fender washer would work very well too. you will have to use a box end wrench to change the angle and carrying a wrench in your pocket while working will save you running back and forth to change the spout angle if you have a tight area to deal with when clearing snow.

Just keep in mind that with a nylock nut you do not have to skin your knuckles to tighten them and not having to worry about filling the swear jar and needing band aids
