I'm looking at possibly picking up a Honda HS621 with electric start in the $30 to $50 range. Anyone sell a similar one in the last few years at the beginning of winter? Could you get $250 for it?

We are talking this machine right???

Well, there are two for sale in my area - $50 for an electric start one and $65 for one without.

i see them for 100-300
Condition and location...

And there are always people who don't know what they have and may think it's equivalent to an HS520/HS521.

Thank you folks. I know this was arguably one of the best single stages ever made. I sold 3 - 4 of them about 8 - 10 years ago. I wondered if anything had changed much since then...

well, they were discontinued years ago....and Honda stopped selling the horrible 720 , thank goodness. so these 621's should be regarded as GOLD. I have 2 and leaving them to son in trust......

Here in Ontario, the HS621 does not last long on the Markets..... I own a fleet of them between my own , family and friends. My newest one was retailed in Sept 14. As with any snowblower in my area salt is the worst enemy. My most recent acquisition was this past spring for $250, decent rubber and a little surface rust...

A regular on here assisted me a couple years ago to get the proper parts to install 12 volt electric start on my driveway one, which is backed up by my HS924 also a 12 volt electric start. My ancient shoulders do not complain....

My 3 cents worth.....

Ok, this is all your fault... :D

I got it for $50. Starts right up. The paddles look good. I will do a good cleanup, replace scraper, check belt, clean carb, fuel shutoff, drain and fill gas tank (I saw some floaties in it...) and check spark plug and oil. This was not the one with electric start. The owner of that said the ES did not work. I still may look at it later this week.

All, any thoughts on what the RPM should be set at on this? It is running about 3530ish right now. Understand that is in 90 degree weather.

The manual says 4,000 is the max. It seems like I could adjust it to 3,750ish...
