Tonight was the first time I really gor to put the 926le to the test. About 3 inches of mixed wet snow fell within 3 hours. Wanted to clean the sidewalks and bottom of the drive before the plows come by overnight and see what the blower can handle. With the 4 blade impeller she really cuts through the snow. On the street at the bottom snow was about 5 inches deep. Took one pass with a full bucket. My Toro 826le would choke some times and I'd have to back off.

Tomorrow will be the real test once the plows come by and drop that EOD pile out there.

considering the power to size they should do pretty good. they also have a pretty large impeller which also helps they out. funny enough i was working on one for someone today. i still dislike ariens for stupid stuff like belts. i wish they would run full size belts on their machines. if you plan on keeping the machine long term may be worth picking up a extra belt in the summer. they are like 37.07" or 37.1" and a 37" is on the tight side which may cause the auger to run all the time till it stretches.

I bought the dual belt kit with the SHO pulley and two belts. My plan is to remove the auger and strip and re-paint the front half of the bucket and augers and do the conversion. It's good to know what I have before the conversion. There's a nice 18 inch or so pole at the EOD that the plows left overnight.

With a 54% bucket, 7" spout, and all that weight, nothing really stops a good running big frame 26, except solid ice berms(which really only slow them down and cause rear tire slippage). You'll have to test it in deep snow before you can make a judgment if you need to step up from that L head, and throw further. 28 cms is not a real test for these.
