I just bought an Ariens 30” SHO Platinum (921064) and noticed that the choke knob isn’t properly aligned with the sticker on the motor that indicates “Choke” or “Run”. When the knob is turned fully to the right, the arrow on the knob points to “Run” instead of “Choke”. In order for it to point to “Choke” on the sticker, I would have to be able to turn the knob much farther to the right, which I can’t. When the knob is turned fully to the left, the arrow on the knob points to nothing, when it should be pointing to “Run”. So, it’s really an alignment issue with the knob.
The problem is that you can’t adjust the knob to have it point to Choke when it is turned fully to the right since it attached to a flat control arm. As such you can only flip it 180 degrees, which doesn’t address the issue.
So my question….is it possible to “easily” change the position of the control lever such that when the knob is attached to it that it correctly points to the Choke and Run positions?
Thanks
