Well I got this for nothing. Took about 15 minutes to clean carb and put new gas in and it started right up.
Drives fine also.

But blades do not turn. I read it could be the PTO, sensor switch or clutch.

Not sure if worth my time. I have no experience with these. About how much would these parts cost if I did the labor? Is it complicated? I guess I can watch YouTube , haha

HR215? One of the best ever built. It's a blade clutch mower, so likely either the cable or clutch lining need replacement, either of which is pretty easy. PTO has zero to do with blade drive - the blade clutch is right off the crank - pto is drive only, and zero "switches" on mine. Mash the yellow button on the blade clutch lever, and push the bail forward, and it should tension and engage the blade clutch.

I agree the 1980’s HR series Honda’s are one of the finest lawnmowers ever built I bought one new in 1986 and still have it today and use it regularly. I would check the clutch cable first it’s attached to the black handle with the orange button on top. When these mowers are running properly and look good, as this unit does, they can sell for 150-250 dollars all day long. These are cult classic movers, no longer manufactured, people are constantly looking for good examples to scoop up. Spend some time and effort sorting it out you won’t be disappointed. 😊
